    ... The house faces the gulf and is surrounded by oak trees. The interior is furnished with mostly original pieces belonging to Davis and his family. It includes the home, museum, the Library Pavilion as well as other outbuildings present at that time. All but the house were completely destroyed by Hurricane Katrina and rebuilt as reproductions.     ... damage was in neighbouring State of Mississippi from Gulfport to Biloxi, Boats and barges rammed buildings, pushing cars and houses inland; water reached 6–12 miles from the beach. The power of nature! We live with the threat of earthquakes in Vancouver, but folks living on this coast live with storms every year, sometimes multiple times a year!! I'll stick with Vancouver Thanks!
