This past weekend me Bryan, Nick and Ellan went on a short one nighter to Table Rock State Park, SC. We began in Greenville Friday night with REI shopping, I exchanged my Gregory 32 for an Osprey Kyte 46 which I love and hope to take with me on my South American backpacking trip in January! Later Mexican food and a few games of pool with Ryan and Jordan (we kicked their butts). We had a few beers and the night faded away.

Greenville is more of less the capital of South Carolina Upcountry, the part of state nearest mountains. The Greenville County Museum of Art is quite small with displays of works by South Carolinian William Johnson and a substantial amount of Andrew ...

Ryan and Jordan are wonderful! I grew up with Ryan, we have known each other for nearly 15 years now. Jordan, I met on a cruise this passed summer that we all coincidentally ended up on. Talk about your small world moment. Right before the cruise is when I accepted the offer in SC and shortly so did Ryan! Never in million years did I expect a friend to be going to this flat state at the same time I did but I am grateful. Visiting ...

... we can take off for Charlotte. We landed at CLT at 6:10, took another 30 minutes to get to our gate and deplane, waited forever for our luggage in baggage claim, caught shuttle and found our car in long term parking and were on the road to Greenville at 7:30. We pulled into our garage at 8:40, turned on the water and did a brief walk around, to rediscover our home after being gone for 50 days. Everything looked normal, as best we could remember! So, Europe 2014 comes to a ...
