    Cheapest place with availability within 2 hours of Sturgis, SD due to bike rally. Hotel is well kept, friendly front desk; able to check in early.

    I've changed my itinerary for the last few days and today was also a change-up. Due to the Sturgis Bike Rally starting tomorrow, the hotel rates in the area start around $450 a night and go up quickly if you want a 2-star or better - honestly!     Making good time today riding I-90. Going to leave it and take SR 14 the rest of the way to Sheridan (2 hrs) so we don't get in so early.

    Made a lunch stop in Gillette at the local Perkins. Nice to have breakfast selections all day long!

    ... hadn't gotten a chance to smooth out the road after the storm. This trip should have taken us under two hours and ended up taking us three and a half hours. By the time we entered the rally we looked like an adobe hut going down the clay and mud top to bottom on our truck and trailer.
    Time to wash and clean it again:(
