We made two more stops to look at the Lake Village Hotel, which is the oldest in a national park, and at Lake Butte Overlook which gave us a pretty bright, clear view of the lake and surrounding ...

We left Denver about 6AM this morning and headed North. We arrived at Mt. Rushmore in South Dakota around noon. What a great time of year to was deserted! Of course it was about 35 degrees and windy, but we had our choice of parking spots. :) We were there about 45 minutes before getting back on the road.
