Our host here brought out 6 wines in a specially built stand and rattled through the whole lot. Impossible to take in all at once. This had a Pinot Gris, a Pinot Blanc, a Rose and three Pinot Noirs. The prices here were much higher but we agreed that the taste was not as good, even in their top wine which was $85 ...
... and the Reisling which did not have the acid of Australian ones. We also had a viognier which actually came from Victoria as did the Merlot.
After a pleasant hour there we came back to Peter's and while he made us a delicious salmon salad for dinner we sat out on his balcony in the gathering twilight, enjoying the view and the conversation. After a great dinner and cheese washed down by a few Oregon reds, it was off to much needed sleep. A great start to our trip.
Francisco and what is now Marin County was by boat across a section
of San Francisco Bay. It's mysterious when covered with fog, beautiful when bathed in sunlight, and remains possibly one of the most photographed American landmark.
Today, it carries six lanes of vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists.

Back at the RV we eat lunch, then take the furry ones out on one of their many walks. Molly's leg was injured while at home but each and every day she is feeling more like her old self. We've been using a doggie ramp for some time now to assist in her ingress and egress of our 5th wheel and truck. It helps her a lot.
