The annoying thing is that the kitchen was totally not set up for communal use - the stove was flush against the wall. It was tiny with one fridge and one sink. To say the kitchen was poorly equipped would be an understatement. It was NOT equipped at all - a few plastic forks in a tub, 3 wobbly plastic plates and a couple of equally wobbly pans. Harvey was heading out to go golfing, so me and Ellen where left to go on our adventurous road trip - WAHEYYY. Ellen was taking me to Costa Mesa to pick up my credit card that stupid American Express hadn't managed to post out to me in time, so we where going to make a day of it! After that we took the freeway to Escondido; bloo-dy-hell. THE ROADS ARE MASSIVE. Six lanes either side, and thats not even a big one! In L.A. there are ELEVEN lanes either side... i mean, is that even possible?!

The currency issues will fall under Kyle's dominion, as do the visas and travel permits we need for the different countries (these go in The Rick Steves). Throughout the trip I would look at prices and turn to Kyle and ask "what is that in dollars." Typical American.
