Had a tough 110 mile ride today. It wasn't so much the distance as it was the humidity. We cranked it out though and I got to have some interesting conversations. When we got to lodging we were all treated with a free massage from a pro masus. Totally awesome. Then we were fed ...

I carefully looked around for bison, but didn't see any. The Park Ranger had warned me to keep a good 100 yards between myself and the bison just to be ...

... Carolina. The open prairie under the vast sky is starkly stunning. We took a 3.5 mile hike through the backcountry of this ecosystem, and we didn't see another soul in any direction, except for a herd of bison that have recently been reintroduced to the area. This will definitely go down as one of our highlights of our ...

Hoping to shift into vacation mode...

Left home at 6:30am this morning. My Aunt Carol Thomas, whom I dearly loved and admired, passed away this week. Attended her funeral in Corydon this morning and burial in Cambria. It is hard to believe that we will not see her anymore, but she lived a long and very good life. I feel so bad for her family... it is hard to switch into vacation mode...
