Who'd have thought that a crossroads town in Nevada would roll up the sidewalks at 10 pm?!
Woke up to this view out my window, on the east side of Elko.
We pulled up to a trailer park at Elko in Nevada Valley at 7.00am. It was all hands on deck, breakfast was prepared in minutes, fruit salad, French toast, tea and coffee. Then it was lunch preparation followed by washing up. There was a toilet block across the way with two toilets and no sink. With no running water it meant washing this morning would be impossible. Friday It was a 5 hour drive from Reno to the ruby mountains. Plus another hour and a half where the 6 of us packed into one small car with all our gear and drove to the other end of the trail.
