... I expected them to be far better at. After a hearty meal, we headed down CA-1 along 90 miles of wilderness along a coast known as the Big Sur. Towns are non-existent. The road twists and turns along the edge of 500-900 foot tall cliffs, overlooking rocks and kelp forests in the crashing sea below. ... the first section of the Sierra Nevada mountains after crossing over into California, we noticed a vast number of wind turbines on the eastern side and the western side after crossing.
