    ... perk.

The cave we toured is smaller than some of the other caverns we've toured over the years but it was unique. The formations look more like beach sand that you've formed shapes out of and the rock formations definitely look "Floridian". The walls of the caves had sea creatures embedded in them. We found shells and other fossilized items from when the area was under the ocean.

... approach fix. Winds were 15kts just off runway heading but gusting to 22kts. The Diamond Star didn't seem to mind at all, with great stability on final and settled down nicely. We visited AERO-One FBO for fuel and had a quick early lunch at Willie's Cafe in the main terminal. Sitting for the next 24 hours waiting out the storm and then down the road we go again......looking, hoping, praying, screaming, bargaining for better days ahead!

JD is in high gear this morning. Took the truck into town for gas and quick Egg McMuffin breakfast. Pack up was quick and on the road by 8:00 am. JD wants to make it in 3 days so we're trying to do 470 miles today. Destination Dothan, AL. It turned 83 degrees in Montgomery - driving with the windows down - nice! Arrived earlier than planned at Pecan Point RV Park, set up and relaxed. Nice level site, easy access, facilities not that great, just ...

We checked out of the hotel in Daytona and drove directly to the huge J&P Cycles Shop in Ormond Beach to get a few more items for the bike to make our ride a bit more comfy. Then we drove into St. Augustine and spent a few hours with David's business partner and our friend Barrett. We ate at a sushi restaurant (where I got my first taste ever of Toro tuna) and then went back to his house on the St. John's River. I got to ...
