    On day 3 of jet lag prevention. Up at 4 am again! That wouldn't be so bad except I went to bed at midnight. Oh well, this preparation will be worth it. Backpack- check, comfy pants for sleeping- check, way to heavy book to be traveling with-check (it may stay in Italy), passport-check... Delays leaving the house this morning...goats out, ...

    ... again, but since I had already paid for the second bag and the day pass (both would have been free with the upgrade), I didn't care that much.     I expect I won't be able to make my first post until the second or third day in Amsterdam. I've tracked down places to find free wi-fi, at least. So until then, I'll sign off.
