    ... to keep a bit up to date via PBS, our favorite.
    Sleep came easily after a dinner of Brats and Lynn's legendary Potato Salad. We make our own internet via the Droid 4, so we're keeping track of the world quite easily. We plan to take a hike later, when it warms a bit. A few Geocaches show on the phone, so that will add to our fun.

    It got down to 48 degrees, but there is hot air blowing through...As always, we'll make it.

    ... the surface, apparently it's a very common substance but everywhere else it gets dissolved by water. It gets really strange when the Tarmac stops and you're driving on what looks like ice but it's the sand that's got damp, you keep expecting to skid. We park and I take of my shoes and socks to climb up a dune, it feels great, at the top you can see this wonderful white landscape for miles, at the visitor centre they hired sleds and there are children sliding down ...

    ... some lit up with lots of lights, some not come and go. I would suppose that every 10 seconds or so a truck would pull in or leave through out the time we watched. I had no idea that these places were this busy. It was like a kaleidoscope on a very large screen passing by our motor home..

    We were safe once again and our journey to the far west was just about coming to a close.

    ... when we checked in to be sure to check the weather channel. It seemed that a storm was coming - and it did. The wind started that night. I mean wind that was blowing at a constant 20 MPH, gusting to 40. We thought we were only going to stay one night but we ended up being there for 4 nights.     ... that stay in this town in the winter so I can see why many stop here because they have a deal where you buy a half gal. bottle ($10.00 which includes the bottle) with certain wines on tap (you can even mix them) and when you come back it costs $6.60 to fill it up again. If you want you return the bottle for $3.80. We were camped in a parking lot next to some trees and looking out at the mountains in the distance. Very enjoyable evening and ...
