... flight to Dallas, where my lovely wife was waiting for me. I was home by about 10:00 but it felt like late afternoon. The whole trip from the time I left the hotel for the airport until I arrived home had taken about 35 hours.

Thanks for following along, and for your prayers for God’s guidance and protection. They are most appreciated. If all goes as planned my next trip will be to Africa and Europe and should start in about 5 ...

... Carlsbad we drive to Dallas. Best known for the murder of John F Kennedy in 1963. We visit the place where it happened and meet a guy who was there in 1963. He was 13 years old at the time and is convinced there was more than one shooter. Every day you can find him on the grassy knoll , telling his story and selling magazines that support his view. We also watch a baseball game at Globe Life Park in Arlington. Rangers vs Giants. Rangers win thanks to a 2-run homer by Josh Hamilton ...

Bennet was first to wake up. Addy was so excited to meet Bennet. She kept signaling for Bennet to come downstairs. They enjoyed some cartoons with Baba before everyone else woke up. And yes, we had donuts again - pigs in a blanket too!

Addy is quickly growing out of her shirts! It is too cute to look at the round little belly and skinny legs. I weighed myself with her the other day and it looks like she is around 22 pounds now. Yippee! This girl loves to eat - all except green veggies. We thought we had her when we gave her a pouch of peas, spinach, and apple sauce. She got about halfway through and was signaling that she ...

... concerns were completely unfounded. There is no greater feeling than the familiarity and the sense of understanding that followed me as I set foot in DFW, drove the long stretches of I-30 into Dallas, and suited up for another winter duck hunt with my best friends and family.

A simple quick trip to Dallas helped re-affirm the key difference between my true home and my abroad ...
