... the activity. Steve and I looked after Aiden while Larissa had a play date. We had a lovely long walk this afternoon enjoying the sun. We stopped for a Starbucks iced coffee. Today was a trip to a State Park about 1 hour's drive north of Coppell. Whilst most of the drive was along freeways we passed through farming country with horse ranches and cattle before entering the park. Ray Roberts Lake State Park has a 29000 acre reservoir supporting many water activities. The weather was nice and sunny but the wind kept it cool - about 16. After staying up way past sensible hours the next morning we surfaced at 8am with the alarm clock blaring and made our way downstairs for breakfast. I should mention that by this stage we had realised the hotel was purpose built for conferences and the restaurant at this hour was empty, with the rest of the guests tucked away in various conference rooms.
