The Point Fermin Lighthouse, built in 1874, is a very ornate Victorian house with the light tower attached to the roof. It has been totally restored and is not operational, but is an attraction in a beautiful park. Two more days here and then we start moving north in ...

Yesterday we put it down to sunburn and bad parenting but we worked out eventually it was an allergy type rash. With the help of some Aussie Pawpaw ointment it was ok but today it's back as well as a swollen eye. Poor little petal. Once again we breakfasted at Ihop. Same waiter (Colin). We're now tired of the Ihop and Colin. ...

... a few days in France in January, I realized it was time to at least TRY to learn some phrases. No matter how silly I sounded, people appreciate you attempting. I left France 26 years ago feeling like the people were rude and brash. What they are is proud of their language and want others to speak it. Or at least TRY. I found a few language apps that I've been testing out. Fodors Travel Phrases is the one I like the most. We shall see how I do! Au ...
