... Walked back past our hotel and found the beginning of route 66. Had a very healthy lunch - splurged on a gelati afterwards as it was very warm.
Hotel suite has 2 king beds, kitchen, laundry and lots of storage cupboards. is a great place to have as a base.Breakfast was very healthy but could have have muffins and donuts if i had been bad. tried a waffle - make your own fresh. Was quite sweet - did not eat it all.

We finally get to Navy Pier and take a walk around. There is a mini amusement park there - ferris wheel, flying chairs, putt putt golf. There are also lots of souvenir stores and bars and food areas there.
