... a Hotel near the pick up point for our hire car. That was Midway Airport and the Hotel would be just up the road in The suburb of Burbank, Illinois. Just a Best Western Hotel. The road trip would have to begin tomorrow. Finally arrived at Union Station at 8.30pm. By the time we retrieved our checked baggage and were taxied to Midway Airport the rental car reservation was no longer available. We had to pay a $3 per day upgrade for a car or ...

... One of the last areas we visited was the wing with life size tornado! Kaleb and I entered a wind tunnel reaching 80 mph, in which I recorded on my phone. On our way exiting the museum we took the elevator to the street side. We were first on and moved to the back. Kylee was not in her stroller at this time. It is almost as big as the city of New Orleans I think... It is massive. I have missed 4 connections out of O’Hare and my bag has been lost 6 times... When I saw we would be landing in a different Terminal than my Shanghai flight all I could do was pray and strap on my running shoes. BUT THEN!!! We had to taxi into ...

... we see Obamas house ( from a distance) as well as university of chicago which is a beautiful campus partly funded by Rockefeller. Then change onto river trip, albeit badly organised but get lucky in that our boat can still go under all bridges despite yesterday's rain ( it was clearly v bad). V hot and humid on tour but even a non architect can't fail to be impressed with skyline covering all types from modern to gothic to post modern and ...
