    ... up having quite the layover this early morning. We used free passes to the United Club and were able to eat a hot complimentary breakfast and enjoy some relative quiet before boarding our next flight. This delay will mean we miss our tour of the Supreme Court that was planned for today, which is a bummer. And we will be even more in need of a nap when we get to our hotel, but so far so ...

Given much of our recent travel has been to remote destinations almost devoid of other people and definitely few, if any, brights lights ( other than the Milky Way), Vegas isn't high on the list, just yet. We are just over 30 minutes away from LA and our descent will start soon. Our challenge is to make our connecting flight or we will be spending an unscheduled night in LA, possibly without our luggage. To be continued ... We made it safely into LA. ...

    ... The Miami Dolphins dominated the game and scored four to one touchdowns. A little disappointing that we weren't able to watch another home town win.
