    ... was overdue for replacement. The trail was wooded, mossy and much different then any other trail we have done thus far. It felt as if we were surrounded by a rain forest.     ... north; he retired just last week and this trip was a little retirement gift. Dave turned out to be an interesting and very nice fellow. His wife doesn’t camp anymore so he travels solo on the bike. We enjoyed our conversation with him but the exercise had tired us and we turned in early.

    Tomorrow we will head for Portland and the Stub Stewart Campground near access to the Banks Veronia Bike Trail.
