    Arriving in LA, Jons old univ. friend Jack manages to collect us at the enormous LA airport by car, quite a feat, and off we set for the 2 hr journey on a 10-lane freeway backed by the San Bernardino mountains, lined with Eucalypts, full of cars and we,in the (fast) car pool lane requiring a minimum of 2 per car, and Jack repeats a very funny story cousin Ellen had related.....so a guy drives in the carpool lane ...
