- Disneyland!! – Drove back up to Anaheim near LA. The day was supposedly ‘quiet’ but the crowds were still out-of-control. Overall it was a disappointment: So many annoying little kids everywhere, many rides were out-of-action, it was hot (35degC), too much hype, too expensive (entry was $80 each, a slice of pizza $6), rides were not even 10% as fun as 6 Flags. A Trip Into China
... went with us to lunch, Book City, and dinner. I had a great time (but i got a little homesick). At Book City, i read a chapter of The Labrynth (Percy Jackson and The Olympians). We went to luch after that. After lunch we dropped Winnie off at her weekend class and went back to the house. They live on the 7th floor!!! Just another lousy day in paradise
... past gorgeous beds of rare flowering succulents, twisted trees and koi ponds. Throughout the San Diego area there are miles and miles of beach-front promenades full of strollers, runners and bicyclists, as well as several beachs where dogs can run free and romp in the sand and surf. Chance has had his fill of these and could definitely get used to this. So could we for that matter. We have not yet revisited Balboa Park, famous for it's zoo ...
LAX Arrival
... is without doubt the best I’ve ever had. One hand roll the Mexicana was soooo good and another had a slice of salmon on top with warm soft shell crab, avocado and tuna and some other stuff which was unbelievable. Also had some stuffed jalapeno peppers, the first three of which were great, the fourth one just about burnt my face off. Back home to Chez Mestler and we are all so tired we pass out straight ...
