    ... br> We meandered along the route taking some side tracks - some lead to views, others did not and we could not work out why they were included. At a little place called Cave in Rock, there was a ferry across the Ohio River. As you might guess, we took the ferry and found ourselves back in Kentucky where we followed the River Road.

    Arrived early and got our pick of sites. We got this one right on the lake. At dusk, the family of skunks would come out to enjoy the fallen crab apples on the tree in our site. The sunsets were gorgeous! We met Puff the Purple Dragon on the beach! Loved the water tower.

    Today was a welcome rest day. We now head into the hills of Kentucky. Some of us patronized the local bike shops and checked and adjusted our machines for the hills to come. I visited bike shops, thrift store, the local library and generally cruised around town looking for history.
