Really pretty nice and inexpensive. Good central location right near the border if you are headed that way.

The hotel offered a decent free breakfast- not only did we have bagels and fruit, but I packed away a little food to take with us. The ride through Louisiana was very pleasant, as it's all so green and lush, with the bridge over the Mississippi a particular highlight. We stopped for lunch at a sprawling seafood place called Landry's, where we split …

After a few days in Oklahoma (where the wind comes sweeping down the plain) it was a long drive further south to Austin, capitol of the great state of Texas, also known as the Lone Star State, with their fantastic motto “Don’t Mess With Texas!” At the risk of offending any blog readers who are from Texas or who have lived there at some point in time, I will venture ...

... gone north by now and we wouldn't get to see them but the green jay and altamira oriole were two of the prettiest birds (maybe with the exception of the painted bunting) we have seen in the states. also saw the crested caracara and the alpomado falcon and the chachalaca (what fun).

the birding and nature center here on the island was wonderful as well. we saw a short movie about the center, saw ...

140325-Counting Down the Days of Paradise

Well, going to start off this week on a different tangent,
got some exciting news on 3 dimensions.

I have included 2 pictures of our new to be grandbaby and it
is a 3 dimensional view of the baby still in Sari’s womb. It is rather amazing
to see the development in a 5-month period. I don’t know how Cody and Sari are
going to control Angie; it is out of my hands?

hot and could not be beat for flavor and or value. Thanks to those people in
the park who put out and volunteer to do these things for the rest of us, who
prefer to drink, which we did at Jim and Alice’s happy hour after the 4:00 pm

Man is this a travel blog, or a gastronomical tour?

Thanks for Reading, finally got the camera to download,
          after a call to Cannon.

          Its all good!
