    By the time the war was over the.place was like an open prison,the residents would go out for the day always returning in the evening. This camp held 10,000 people and was refered to as a concentration camp, but very different from what we have been taught about concentration camps.

    We get to Death Valley around 4:30pm and the temperature gage on the car started at 109F so we quickly take a photo as we had never recorded heat that high before. We find ourselves taking a new photo every 5-10mins as the temperature continues to increase. We finally take our last photo at 118F (47.7deg C) … there is no way we could camp in this weather.
