Yup. All three of us. Rosa too. It really is an amazing visit and the highlight of the trip so far. Very difficult to think of all the metaphors. But the line from the 1979 film Escape from Alcatraz rings in my mind. When the Warden tells Clint Eastward on arriving at the Rock: "If you break rules you go the jail. ... and GWTW trail will have to wait for another trip.

After we oohed and ahhed over the plantation items, we departed the park and stopped at a German Restaurant for dinner. By the time we made our way back to the interstate to return to the campground, it was right in the middle of rush hour. I took us about 90 minutes to be back "home." It turned out to be a good day, not too hot and no rain. Tomorrow it's time to pack everything up and head for Texas!

It was an interesting place with some interesting stuff like the Great Locomotive Chase and the fact that after WW II, France presented 49 box cars to the US as a Thank You for helping them after the war (probably the last time they gave us a gift of any kind). We had a perfect stay at Motel 6, Atlanta. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and spacious enough.
