... Based on other friends advice, we got a 'Fast Pass' ticket for this earlier in the day, which gave us an allocated viewing area for this spectacular. Wow, what a show it was. It involved lots of water, lights, laser lights, projected images, music, commentary and of course ended with some huge pyrotechnics and flames. The show went for at least 20 minutes and was one of the best light and water shows I've ever seen. With the nighttime ...

It was a busy two weeks, but worth all the tiredness and walking around. We went to a total of four theme parks and got to see the whole island of Oahu and the city of Los Angeles. I look forward to sleeping in my own bed, not getting up early, hopefully some Summer weather and generally just relaxing a bit before having to do Christmas hours at work. So now I guess it is back to the regular food portions, healthy amount of sugar and some vegetables - Yes!

It was great we loved it, although Aaron didn’t think he needed to go on it again.

A lot of these rides are in the dark so often you ...

... followed by the Steam Vents. Next I drove to Thurston Lava Tube and walked through that which I enjoyed. The entrance has vines and lush ferns over the top and you walk down to the tube through a rain forest. After that I hiked the Devastation Trail which ends up at Pu’u Pua’i and I think that overlooks Kilauea Iki. I would have liked to have done the Kilauea Iki Trail, but I didn’t have time. I continued on to Chain of Craters Road and stopped at ...

... was pretty freaked out and was worried we'd get them and spread them throughout all of our stuff in the car. Turns out we survived and left without little parasites attached to our bodies and clothes. Thank goodness. Our first night wasn't all bad, though. We went out in Hermosa Beach and met some fun locals who told us a little about places to go out and things going on. We were so desperate for a nice place that ...
