The first thing was that I needed the adress of my host (from Couchsurfing) which is requiered when entering. I had asked for it days ago, but I didn't get a reply so before I had looked up the name of a hostel, its adress and phonenumber, so this problem was over.
The second thing was at the airport. I still hadn't heard anything from my host, the only thing I knew was that he was living close to ...

... by vendors every street corner.Had a drink on waterfront, dinner at the outback steakhouse as suspect of smaller places hygiene! Will do that tomorrow. Headed back to hotel for an early night.

Had huge breakfast at hotel - amazing choice of breads, cheeses, cereals, fresh fruit, Danishes, nuts and raisins, freshly made omelettes, bacon, baked beans, pork sausages, steak and heaps more.
Put the walking shoes on and headed for star ...

... Speaking of "time of year", this is the first place where we have seen Christmas decorations, and it is really fun for us! While we ate our first Asian breakfast (mine was some kind of veg noodle soup, Nate had fried noodles, a hotdog, a chicken-fried steak, a slice of cold-cut ham luncheon meat, all topped with a very deep-fried fried egg (#35 on the fastfood menu)), we heard Christmas carols from the loudspeakers.
