... days there were fairly uneventful. I had a cold and felt fairly sluggish. I didn’t really want to go out in the ridiculous temperatures so I holed myself up and snuggled up with the view from the window. I had to kick myself every time I looked out the window. ... of old & new architecture is really well done and makes for a really interesting vibrant city. I always like it when locals work & shop in the areas we visit, it makes for a more authentic livable city and I give Boston full marks for walkability!! ... we had given him. I would have been a mess ;) Day two and our first point of call for the day was OUTLET SHOPPING which only my favourite kind of shopping. ... freak out that I will have to go down all 9 floors before being able to return to the elevators and go back up to the 9th floor. Luckily there was a "Emergency exit" on floor 5. But really? 4 floors, what if some crazy killer had followed me into the stairwell and I had a bad knee? In "The Wizard of Oz" Dorothy just had to follow the yellow brick road to get to Oz, but in Boston you just need to follow the red line on the sidewalks known as the Freedom Trail to get to all the Revolutionary War era historic sites in the city center.
