          Well....we made it to Canada. We were very careful to check the regulations to see what we could and could not bring into Canada...hence the gun drop off. The other thing is that they limit the amount of adult beverages that you can bring over the border. This is mostly so that they can charge a huge amount for not very good stuff.           ... of vouchers for doggy prizes, yup got even got gifts for the doggies :-), wandered on and found the outdoor ice skating rink which we both declined due to being old and the prospect of broken bones was pretty high!           30th October - I had a tour booked to Niagara Falls this day. They ended up not showing up and I had to get my hotel to chase them. They had gone to my previously booked hotel (even though they confirmed my change). So they finally turned up at 10.30am. This unfortunately made our tour late and rushed all day.

          ... that dates back to when it was actually on the island's shore and close to the main ship channel ... way before dredging increased the size of the islands and added a lot of new land, and changed the route the ships coming into the harbour took,

          And what (laughably!) passes for beaches in this strange place. Dirty grey sand for the most part. No surf to speak of (duh!) ... and fresh ...
