This morning was a very sleepy jump. I have no idea why neither of us got good sleep, but we didn't and it took two cups of coffee and some sugary pastries from the cookhouse to get us moving. When we left Colorado Springs we did not have the paperwork necessary to get license plates for our new truck or our Redwood 5th wheel. It was something that we were unsure how to handle long distance—but we knew if it was possible, Catrina could get it taken care of. We moved onto Glen Rose, Texas—it feels like such a nice little town. We drove through town and enjoyed seeing the old Downtown area. There are a lot of stone buildings (that we later found out are partially petrified wood). I love seeing the different architecture around the country.

It should be good sleeping weather tonight since it has been cloudy and rainy all day. I looked at the extended forecast for the Lubbock area and Thursday night is may get down into the high 30s.
The trip tomorrow is a little over 200 miles and with a couple of stops, it will probably be 4pm before we get there. Hopefully it won't be rainy tomorrow. Until ...
We have made it as far as Mineral Wells. Time for a fuel stop and getting some fuel for the body too. The heat was terrible today. The sun is down and the ride should be a lot more comfy.
