Yesterday, we left Fredericksburg and drove to San Angelo. Today we left San Angelo, Texas to visit Midland and Odessa which are within 25 miles from each other. As we proceed to the west, we realize how diverse of a state Texas is. In the past 2 days of travel we have seen: cattle, sheep, goats, buffalo, horses, llamas and even oil jacks alongside the road. We have seen large ranches, small old-west towns, and even skyscrapers. We have passed from the Texan hill ...

Don't go if your drunk- we paid to enjoy professionals singing- if you feel inclined to sing do it in your car later. Likewise don't speak! Especially to the actors- your not watching TV at home! Not a lot to look at in the way of beauty unless you think oil tanks and rusted out machinery is nice to look at. However, it is how a lot of people make their living. It was amazing to see soooo many campgrounds for the oil and gas people. There were everywhere and not nice like a state or national park would be. =)

Drove to Midland, Tx. And stopped for the night. Very boring. I still hate Texas. Midland, boyhood home of George W. Bush. Before we left Bossier, we stopped at Southern Maid Donuts. World famous and a must have while visiting Louisiana. Similar to Krispy Kreme, and just as delicious. Elvis only made one commercial in his lifetime. It was for Southern ...

After the picturesque departure from Lisbon at sunset the Captain informed us there would be ocean swells. This is small cruiseship, they call it a yacht. I think yacht means there are no stabilizers. Docked right now by a huge cruise ship, massive city on the sea. I like our little yacht much better, who needs a movie size screen by the pool? The good news my seasickness patch is working well. Our first dinner was a ...
