    ... to civilization, we headed down the scenic trail, the one that was supposed to take us up to the highest point in the park for a scenic view of the lake. Well, the trail certainly took us to the highest point in the park. The top of the mountain, however, did not live up to the scenic view we had been hoping for.     Good morning from Rodgersville, TN! After 10 hours of driving with two stops for gas, lunch, and dinner; we're still four hours outside of Nashville. For his birthday, both my brothers bought my father tickets for the NASCAR Race in Bristol, TN. 120,000 + people will be packed into that area and I will not be one of them.     The rain is over, partially cloudy weather - perfect for a hiking trip up to the water tower in the nearby mountains!
    So, we take the (hand-drawn) map that we got, a container for collecting yummy blackberries, some water - and off we go!

    ... that day - but it doesn't matter. We sit at the porch of the Cafe and enjoy a tea and some quiet time.

    Lots of wild life around us: bunnies, deer, fawn, fire flies, snakes,...
    The kids served us boiled eggs, coffee, and tea in the morning.
