We are told Mrs. Kaufmann would sometimes sleep in the guest house when it was particularly hot opening all of the windows creating what could almost be considered a bedroom outside.

We left Nashville, Tennessee behind us this morning and hoped to arrive at Farmington by this evening. Our car seems to be only a little lighter in our load but we make ourselves comfortable for the journey ahead. It is 16 degrees, bright and sunny. Before the day ended we had reached 24, gorgeous.
Into Kentucky we travelled along the Kentucky Bourbon Trail where we saw many distilleries, gorgeous beautifully kept horse farms, ...
... started dialing hotels in the area. Problem was we were speaking with a central booking agent not from the area or from this country for that matter. We luckily got the last room at a Comfort Inn near the highway just before a lady from Canada walked in with 6 kids. We paid dearly for that room on a Saturday night during UWV football season. There was a restaurant within walking distance and a convenience store to buy a much needed adult, cold ...

While we're looking forward to being home we'll miss traveling, seeing new sights filled with new experiences. Till our next trip...............
