Vandaag gaan we eindelijk naar de Niagara Falls. Het wekkertje stond om 8 uur en iets over 9 pakken we bij de receptie nog snel wat danish (dat is het ontbijt) voordat we naar de bushalte lopen. ... river below too - the water still runs underneath the top layers of ice. It's really cool, the water has just frozen mid-stream. There is only one time in history where the falls have frozen completely, so ur 150 years ago. Wow it must have been cold for that to happen! We read a brochure at the horseshoe falls about a lady who crossed the falls via a barrel - she got inside a custom made barrel and jumped into the falls - crazy! The video of her story is played at the ...

... and Superior. All of the outflow empties into the Niagara river and eventually cascades over the falls to empty into Lake Ontario and eventually to the Atlantic. It is considered "fossil" water as about 95% is left over melt water from the great ice age glaciers and is non-renewable. By the end of our Great Canadian ramble we will have seen all of the Great Lakes, and each one feels like an immense ocean. Niagara Falls wasn't really on our must see list, but it is truly ...
