On our way! Today we had a 7 hour drive until we hit our first official destination, Niagara Falls! However, we did stop along the way, we are traveling with kids after all. We stopped for lunch at a place in Syracuse, NY called Funk N Waffles. At the first the kids were not too sure about this place, but after a huge strawberry and whipped cream waffle, chicken and waffles and the most amazing Thanksgiving waffle (seriously I have plans to recreate this somehow) it ...

... some Good Wings! No one was super hungry, so each couple split 10 wings. Phil and I tried the Medium Light sauce which was Perfect - just the right amount of heat for us. Plenty of real bleu cheese dressing for dipping and celery and carrots on the side. Yum!

... them omelettes or champagne. One woman tightroped across with her feet in baskets!! Even when it was illegal to go over the falls, people still tempted fate in all kinds of craft, and it continues to be a tempting place for those considering the certainty of death today. We stood behind a 5 foot barrier on the observation deck and I could barely go close to the edge of this windy, yawning precipice. No daredevil stunts for this prairie girl. There are actually 3 falls, ...

Bright and breezy wake up call from my alarm at 6.30 am but to be honest I couldn't sleep due to excitement and anticipation of the adventures that lie ahead of me today. Niagara Falls eeeeekkkkkk Was absolutely amazing waking up in the wilderness in the middle of America, although it took a while to drift off I slept fairly well. Once we all ate breakfast, showered, packed up the camp and loaded the van it was time to hit the freeway once again 160 miles to our ...
