... attached but over the car park was a diner called Lucky 99. If you add our ages together it comes to 128 so we took that as a good sign and gave it a go. They were not FAOGCS certified but were as good as. They actually had meals without all those toxins so I was happy. A roast turkey and veggies (large serving but then every serving in America is large) for $12, and it was good.

1st day back in USA sort of.

... as a mecca for fiber-based crafts and had to see it for myself. I am now considerably poorer, but very happy. I learned a new knitters acronym yesterday, STABLE (Stash Acquired Beyond Life Expectancy). I haven't quite reached that stage, but WEBS put me a couple of yards closer.

We headed east out of Northampton, passing postcard perfect villages and old mill towns. Ware was the first mill town we hit, and the old industrial buildings along the river ...

... hadn't met on that occasion, Poul might have stayed in the U.S. and become a U.S. citizen.
After breakfast Sunday morning at the Sheraton we enjoyed a pleasant drive out of New York City and camped in Mystic, Connecticut. It's getting a little chilly in the tent but we are now on our way to another campground in Massachusetts and at least one more night in the tent - but we will have another big campfire tonight!

... but had to go back because one of them had started taking in water. They had not even set off from Plymouth to start with but because of all the false starts had got dwindled down to one ship and eventually had made their way to Plymouth and with extra passengers set off from Plymouth. They had intended to head to the Hudson river but because of weather couldn't make it and also were more than a month late had to camp ...
