After a scary first drive out of Chicago we arrived in the evening at electric forest music festival. Strangely the set up is that everyone camps next to there cars and we were fortunate enough to neighbour some hospitable texans whose set up was class. They really showed us what 'glamping' was about- they had tent fans, picnic tables, fish and shrimp dinners, cooked breakfasts and bafflingly they never had warm beer. Camping next to them ...
... we waited, we played a ton of ping pong, frisbee and cards. I hung out with Lilly (French horn), Natalie (French horn), Bryce (counselor, trumpet) and Adriel (bass). For lunch, Nick's mom and dad brought us Little Caesars Pizza. Afterwards, we boarded the bus to the Detroit Airport. Once on the bus, we started singing "The Lord Bless You And Keep You."
The Blue Lake intensive week was amazing. I have learned many new techniques that have enhanced my cello playing and I feel that I have progressed and gotten much better as a cellist.
