Very scenic drive through New York State, heading toward the Adirondacks - the trees are very green but with some fall colours just starting. The campsite is rustic and very quiet, not too busy.

Highlights: Downtown Corning, beautiful town with old buildings and pretty parks

Rest stops are labelled "Text Stops" - very clever!

The folks who are familiar with James Fenimore Copper( he wrote the Last of the Mohicans ) it was set in this Valley and for you baseball affectionatos Abner Doubleday founded the game right here --I know hard to believe but true.

... Historic Site is on the grounds to visit and Cooperstown is about a half hour away. Cooperstown is a quaint town with the Baseball Hall of Fame, restaurants, lake park, hotels, bed and breakfasts, wine trail and breweries. RV's can not park in downtown Cooperstown but they have free parking at three big lots outside of town Red, Yellow and Blue. The Yellow ...
