          ... So, anyway, we travelled 472 miles, which was about 50 miles more than I could handle. I don’t think there was much to see, but I don’t know that for sure because I had my eyes closed… a lot! We finally stopped in Kellogg, Iowa which is near Newton. It was just a small RV place, right off Route 80, like a truck stop, for travelers. We had full hook up so we were good.

          ... There are even digital signs over the Interstate telling motorists to be very aware of the motorcycles.

          Tonight was a free rewards night from Choice Hotels. It is a good thing, as hotels are very expensive in this tourist area of South Dakota. In fact, we were lucky to find a room, even though I booked yesterday.

          Long day, went across the parking lot of the hotel and had Italian dinner. Then crashed.

          ... He wants way too much money so we drove in and wisely turned around without missing a beat. About 50 minutes later we were in Mitchell, at the edge of the West. We drove right to the city 's most famous landmark, the Corn Palace. It is a public gym and concert hall which is built in the style if a temple, complete with Russian-style onion domes.
