... and well executed by Mel. Upon seeing the mall Andrea was convinced she'd been before, because all malls in the US basically look the same!! She'd never been to Aventura, so we all agreed it pretty unlikely, but it really took a comical amount of convincing. We killed some time and didn't do too much damage.

The flight from Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago to Miami was scheduled to depart at 08:30, so one would think boarding would begin at about 08:00; it started at 08:18. By 08:36 everyone was on board. Regardless, the door was not shut nor did we push back from the gate until 08:53. "We just completed the final paperwork", was the explanation from the captain. Oh well.

... a day to rent a bicycle. A can of beer costs $3.50, but a bottle of Australian, Lindeman Pinot Noir goes for $2.50. Who knows what a spiffy, art-decoish, three-bedroom family dwelling would run you. A million? Twenty-thousand? Check out the photos. This is actually peak season in Hollywood.

... s shopping) where we looked at all the many levels at Tiffany’s, checked out the Trump Tower and saw many other shops in between. We then checked out Grand Central Station and I took some photos. It was then time to head over to Madison Square Gardens for the game. That stadium is amazing. It was a great game too but unfortunately the Knicks lost but we did see Carmelo Anthony score 45 points which was cool. We went straight back to the apartment where I crashed instantly. ...

... to offer, but in our short visit, its merits were not revealed and we just found it to be another large city with an oversized Surfers Paradise type beach close by. I am sure the Everglades National Park and the Keys further south have more to offer but that is for another day. Our focus now is to prepare for our upcoming 5 days in the Bahamas and then return in time to Fort Lauderdale to join our 27 night cruise trans-Atlantic to Europe and beyond.
