    ... has one section called "Murderers Row" where there's over 100 graves of murderers, then the rest for normal dead people. Most of the town is a ghost town, but there's still some active mines (don't know how productive). I wanted to stop for lunch at a main-street cafe, but there was no where to park, so screw it. A lot of really interesting relics here.

    ... consequently we try to find a route across Nevada that we haven't driven before, that will get us across quickly and that isn't an Interstate. To be honest, if it meant we could cross in a day, we'd probably drive an Interstate. However I80 crosses Nevada to the far north (Lake Tahoe to Salt Lake City) which doesn't work when you want to arrive in Escalante which is in the middle (as in the middle of north/south) of Utah as Escalante is 300 miles south of Salt ...

    ... place, either that or he so rarely sees people that he was going to make the most of a captive audience!     The whole park is very beautifull, with not only the Sequoias, but lodgepole pines, sugar pines & others. The place is teeming with wild life, & although she tried very, very hard, Kim did'nt manage to see a Bear, just deer & chipmunks !!
    Well, what goes up.... & all that... the road back down the mountain was not as tortuous as the one going up, but still spectacular, At the base of the mountains ...
