The Butler Institute of Art featured lots super colorful abstract stuff, plus American Impressionists and portrait artists. My favorite piece was all purple and based on Romulus and Remus (Rome's foundation myth) and I took a video of it (accidentally erased) and there's no image available online. ... it has frozen over! We also passed We realized after we were clear across the state that we didn't go to see the college that Verne went to, University of Miami, Ohio. Sorry Mom!!! Crossing the Ohio River into West Virgina is pretty. The towns along the rivers edge are all very old and the river itself has several bridges across it. So different then what we have at home.

... The burgers are tasty and tiny. We add cheese to our burgers which already come with fried onions and are served on soft doughy buns. Overall a greasy, tasty lunch.

... when we got off the bridge there was a sharp turn uphill and when we made the turn we saw our first Amish men riding a horse and carriage. As we came out of the park near the end of the day the last part of the road was great. The road travelled along the Allegheny river and then rose up over a mountain with great twisty roads. By 6 we stopped in Franklin for the day and had a great supper at a chain called Kelly's. Best food we had all week. Rode 360 km ...
