... but she said Veetee routee fifteenee. Drove back through Montpelier - capital of Vermont. Very small town (village) but quite gorgeous, we walked around a bit, wanting arvo tea, saw a cafe that said 'closed' but when we asked she invited us in, sat us down and gave of coffee, tea, choc cake and apple pie. Apparently this is not normal even for hot humid days- the fogginess is being blamed on the smoke in the air from the fires in Washington. Not long into our journey we passed the deepest part of the lake- we saw over 400 feet. A big difference from Mako's usual sailing area!! We wound down past the ...

... 160; I'm pretty sure that was the cheapest meal of the whole trip! AT 2:20 PM, AFTER 16 STATES (can you name them?) AND 5,096 MILES, WE ARRIVED AT HOME!!!! (And it was in one piece!) We were glad to see our daughter.  Our son was out with friends but got home later in time for souvenir distribution!  Poor Molly (our real dog) at first didn't know what to think, we wonder if she thought we left because she did ...
