Downtown Houston or the Big Driving Mistake

... Houston is very bad on Saturday. I’d hate to see it during the week. Well, the Galleria Mall parking is all in parking decks with a maximum height of 8’6". We’re too big so we just got back on I-610 and came home. I guess people only drive their cars to the Galleria. Jim did a great job driving, but I was having a nervous breakdown. I just couldn’t live in a city this big with this much traffic. ...

... we pulled into the turn lane. There were 3 lanes going into the center and only one gate open. They need help here!! Twenty minutes later we got through the gate to the parking lot. There were lots of school groups, most very well behaved. It was the kids with families that seemed to run everywhere like wild children. Oh well!

As the author had to clean up Morgy's taco as well as 3 of his own at Torchy's there was no room left for the Fat Cat Creamery, but everyone else indulged ...

Days 262 - 267: USA-Road Trip Across Desert States

... canyon walls. That's about all I got on these folk.
10minutes later - 12:09pm - BORED! The novelty of a road trip across America is wearing off. 6-12 hours of driving through deserts and forests followed by more deserts, days at a time isn't fun anymore. Dave is really enjoying driving these endless desert roads but I have an attention span of a 4 year old. It's come time to trade in the desert for some civilisation. Although Durango in Colorado had $1 beers, ...
