  • From TCU we traveled 205 miles to the University of Oklahoma
  • since it was a short drive we took the tour of the university the same day.

But then we descended into the canyons, where there were more curves than 12 Miss Americas, and finally came out into the plateau. We were headed ...

Destination Norman, Oklahoma Lake Thunderbird State Park. We skirted Oklahoma City which was nice. Traffic seemed very light for a big city. Took some turns off to get fuel and the long way to the lake.

Spent an hour at the dirty, dirty lake with the kids. I think swimming renewed their spirits. Although Rylynn increasingly getting sinus symptoms. Dry cough, headache, now she can't hear out of one ear all from the first day.
