... I found the Jackson hall, and here there was some activity as cars were arriving. I took my picture of the front and then introduced myself, the brothers were happy to have a quick chat but other matters were pressing. And for me the weather was closing in, but I'd got my photo of the hall:

I saw no halls in either Mississippi or Louisiana the next day, but when I turned onto a backroad in Texas ...

Destination Norman, Oklahoma Lake Thunderbird State Park. We skirted Oklahoma City which was nice. Traffic seemed very light for a big city. Took some turns off to get fuel and the long way to the lake.

Spent an hour at the dirty, dirty lake with the kids. I think swimming renewed their spirits. Although Rylynn increasingly getting sinus symptoms. Dry cough, headache, now she can't hear out of one ear all from the first day.

Went to ...

How it all began.

... been talking about it for a few months now. When my friend Helen, from Scotland, said she was going to try and meet them while they were there; well, I couldn't stand it. I wanted to go too and meet them all. So when I said I wanted to go also, they all chimed in with a "You should!" I really didn't need much encouragement. I really want to get the first stamp in my Passport, but mostly I want to meet these wonderful people.
