For people who love to see Aeroplane and Gliders Elmira Soaring Museum is a must visit. There are places where visitors can just sit and watch the gliders being towed up in the air, and there is also the possibility to purchase a Glider ride for yourself.

You can look at the pictures attached and see how the tow works and how the glide works.

Most of the people get an airtime of around 15 minutes in the glider. The day we visited, there ...

Since the main entrance was in sight, and we knew that we can take a Shuttle from there, to the upper entrance, we started walking and in a few minutes, it stopped raining.

We went to Lakeside Park (which should be named Goose Poop Park) and walked , carefully, around there for a while. By then it was 9:45 ...

... bridge that was rebuilt after being washed out by the flood of 1935. If you’re going all the way to Upper Entrance to catch the shuttle bus back, I suspect it might be easier to turn around at Mile Point and enjoy the gorge again on the downhill trek back to the main entrance than to go up all the steps to get to the shuttle at the upper entrance. If you think you’ll need the shuttle, I’d park in the upper entrance, walk down the Gorge Trail to the main ...

We got up on Thursday morning and headed out for Niagara Falls. It was about 150 miles, and the first fifty miles of the drive took us up along the west side of Seneca Lake. What gorgeous country! This is the heart of New York wine country, and vineyards and wineries were everywhere on our drive north. We stopped for a break in the town of Geneva, New York, one of the prettiest little towns I have seen in a very long time. ...
