Woke up this morning, our last day in the Cape. Breakfast was again delightful. Wasn't sure what to do, but over heard the English couple say they would go to Sandwich. Checked it up on the internet and sounded like a neat town. It was 1 hr I think or thereabouts. After about 20 mins driving it started to rain and didn't stop. Today decided to go to Provincetown to the tip of the Cape. Drove for a couple of hours, and found that we couldn't find a park. I was over it and decided to go back. We had stopped at Marconi's beach and took pictures. The drive back was lovely through Barnstable - really loved this area. ... Primary (like my school back home). It was COLD in Chatham - very cold. but we still looked around the streets and visited the park which had a great display for Halloween. From here we drove to Provincetown at the end of the Cape.
Saturday we went over on the big ferry to Martha's Vineyard (an island off Cape Cod). It was so windy and cold, but we had a good time.

... local Wampanoag natives called it Patuxet. We toured the Plimoth Plantation, a recreation of the original settlement and also a native homesite. It features locals dressed in period costume and speaking as 17th century English. They professed no knowledge of anything beyond "their" times. Very cool. W e missed the Nye Barn which had heritage breeds of the animals the Pilgrims had. Sad, because I know how hard it is to find a good Gravenstein ...
