    Toured some back roads from Niagara Falls to Speculator in the Adirondack mountains, saw some deer, 2 adults and three fawns. Lots of lakes, cottage country. Bought a larger bag for the rear carrier.....I know.. . . Rode till dark, stayed in a small town motel......very interesting. Went next door and had good ice cream. Stayed at Cedarhurst ...

    Some irritations resolved...

    Our braking unit had arrived! K&D woke up at 5 am to alarm notifying battery dead, transferred food to cooler. Ken and Dan spent the day trouble shooting trying to figure out why the battery didn't recharge on the drive to this site. Trip to Pottsdam am, (80 mi round trip) to get backup battery and charger. Then they discovered after further troubleshooting that the truck did not have a relay fuse for ...

    ... with a creek flowing by the side and set up camp.

    A beautiful sunset over the lake accompanied our swim, and willow joined us in the deep end after much fussing. A visit by ducks concluded our swim and we set off for dinner and bed. That night a beautiful Full Moon rose into the trees and filled the forest with a mystical hue.

    ... participant at 8.30am in the Adirondacks, we drove up there the day before and spent a night in a hotel. Next morning we had to get up early to pack all our gear for good and go for breakfast before driving for about half an hour to the meeting point. Unfortunately it was raining outside, but at least the weather forecast stated that the rain would cease at midday and that the weekend would be nice and sunny.

    The rest of our day turned out just as perfect. We had to pack up and move on but we just could not bring ourselves to leave. Scott came through again. He graciously told us we could enjoy his place for as long as we wanted as long as our things were out of the cabin. ...
