    ... did some serious barking at me even after I let her smell my closed hand right at the bike. I told her to go home several times, but she couldn't take the hint. No harm, no foul...

    ... fishers and sunshine to boot.


    The snowplower guys have been busy trying to bar exit to the lake house as can be seen from the photo...lots to remove just to get into the house. About two hours later the car could be driven into a narrow parking spot. It was about thirty degrees inside, so I turned on the furnace while I blew and shoveled the snow. When I got finished, it was near fifty and much more hospitable.

    The air is a bit smokey up here today, but it's in the mid-seventies and pleasant. Lynn and I hiked a bit over three miles this morning. Lots of folks are moving around, leaving, coming and just moving.

I had to answer the same way as when he asked where my hiking shoes or sneakers were.... I had left them home.
