Today we got up early, ate a quick breakfast of bagels and fruit at the hostel, and headed for the 8:45am tour to Alcatraz :) It was another beautiful day in San Fran, and we got a pleasant ferry ride over to the island. ... we wanted them. We got to see the farmlands and rural America we would not have seen if we flew. Yes it took way longer but the benefits where way better. We saw fields of strawberry, chillies,pumpkins, spinach, almonds and onions, potatoes , farmers and farm hands working their crops. Today was a hard day to get up, we had made it to bed round 3am after our party bus tour and early morning McDonald's cheese burger run. Our wakeup call was for 545am and bag pick up was 630am and then we had to be on the bus by 730am the 6 of us were a little worse for wear but we made it to the bus.
