... and St Pauls/Senado square, but of course the highlight was to have some fun in the casinos!

The first night we went to the Venetian and it started off a little flat. We had taken a taxi from our hotel (weird system where the hotel books you a taxi and gives you a chit with the number on - no flagging one down) and wanted dinner first, but could only find a few quite expensive looking places. After that, ...

... couple behind us at the Air Asia check-in counter. Not one spat or disagreement with anyone at all the entire trip in Asia, until now. It was 5:55 AM, and our flight was departing at 6:45 AM. The check-in line for international was moving slowly, so once it hits 45 - 60 minutes before a flight, they put up a special sign and allow passengers to leave the line and go over for quick check-in since the ...

If there's a word to sum up modern, developing Hong Kong, it's convenience. It's a notion that seems to take over everything; convenience is better than waiting less time or paying the cheaper price. I've seen massive queues for escalators while the stairs directly next to them are deserted, or even weirder, massive queues with no one wanting to walk up the left hand side of the ...
