... in Manitou Springs, just outside Colorado Springs. Close enough to Denver for a short drive to the airport on Friday morning.

Holly: My dad and I spent the afternoon at Aztec National Monument in Aztec, NM. A really interesting example of native american ruins for a glimpse of how they used to live. Unexpectedly fascinating (similar to the cliff dwelings in CO).

... Then came a red streak…like a ribbon. There were parts of the sky glowing pink and others dark like a pending storm and still others white with cloud. Everywhere you looked a new sky. Jym even saw a Pegasus cloud over the mountains and was quite excited about that.

We had dinner at the resort since it was easy and we are both pretty tired. Such a pretty lobby and restaurant area. It was a nice romantic walk up there too. ...

When we discovered that, I sent the kids across the street to save us a spot at an outdoor cafe. Leslie went with them. I stopped at Patsy's, a Manitou tradition. I think it opened in 1910. I bought a box of caramel popcorn with nuts. Wonderful!!!

I then went across the street to meet everyone at the cafe. The name of the cafe was Coquette's Bistro and ...
