Being based at the Gem Hotel on 22nd and 8th meant that we spent some time each day wandering amongst the "the bluestones" as we came and went exploring NYC.

Is there a better title in the entire world?! I doubt it! My first full day in New York state, and it turned out pretty well! After a decent day of driving through Connecticut and Rhode Island yesterday, I was excited to get a full night sleep at my friend's place in Mamaroneck. He had different plans. I received my wakeup call (aka, poke in the forehead) at 5:30 am and quickly bounced out of bed. Alright, honestly, it was ...

... dad probably expect whats coming...we didn't want to move. Haha. We decided that we were too comfy and the view would be the same as our room, so we put our pillows on the floor by the huge window and sat eating some M&M's with all our lights switched off. How romantic?! We decided we would definitely go and see the bar tomorrow on our last night, even though it was a Saturday and might be busier. After a relaxing hour or so, off to sleep we went, before our last full day in NYC!!! :(

... aerial greenway with grasses, wild flowers and trees. There is seating and artwork placed along the walkway. In some areas the original train tracks are incorporated into the walkway or visible through the planting. Apartments and businesses border the High Line and there are a lot of new apartments being built in the area. If we were hot and sweaty before, we were even more so now, but instead of sitting in our air ...
