... frustrations, grab breakfast and relax for a few minutes. �� We left the lounge at about 10:55, and got to the gate as they were beginning to board. We board the plane in business, and sit down to enjoy the ride. A bit of champagne and juice, got our PJs from Belinda, our flight attendant, and settled in for the long flight to LA. At least it will be comfortable. Lunch is lamb chops with couscous and a mint salsa...three movies, an attempt to sleep ...

... Temple City, and had lost all bearings. The sat nav kept trying to take us on the highway, so we followed it now that time was running out for getting the car back for 11am. It would have been another hour or so on Route 66 supposed to 20 minutes to our Venice beach hideaway to drop off our luggage first, before returning the car at the airport. ... but go plummeting down the (very wet) drop. Everyone in the boat gets soaked! Next up is the Transformers ride which I almost skip because I'm pretty sure it's going to involve lot of sharp turns and jolts. Turns out to be the ride I enjoy the most- the special effects are astonishing and it is so realistic that it's hard to believe the whole ride lasts for a mere 4 minutes- feels like you have just run a marathon!

So my time in LA is up. I've gad a great time here and had the opportunity to visit some amazing places. On my last night in LA we headed to Malibu beach to watch the sunset. ... Theatre, Kodak Theatre and some stars on the Blvd. On the way back to Santa Monica, we drove through Sunset Blvd and we were able to see some of the famous comedy clubs and bars including the Whiskey A Go Go and the Viper Room (where River Phoenix famously died).

Back in Santa Monica, we ventured down to the pier for a bit but the kids were tired and hungry so we decided to head back to the hotel and call it a day. ...
